IP logging is the process of collecting information about your traffic via your IP address. Like FedEx, which prints a record of every package that goes to your address, IP logging lets you slice and dice your data to determine who sent you what packages. By analyzing the data, you can also find patterns of “good” or “bad” traffic and compare them to other sources.
GigaVUE H Series node
You can log syslog events to an external server using the GigaVUE H Series node’s UDP port 514. In addition, you can configure GigaVUE H Series nodes to use IPv6 addresses as external syslog servers. The nodes also support hostnames as external syslog servers, starting with software version 4.7.
You can configure your GigaVUE H Series node to use either a self-signed certificate or a third-party certificate to ensure data security. In addition, the H Series nodes support powerful email notification capabilities. You can easily configure the email notifications through the H-VUE interface, which provides several configuration options.
NSX Advanced Load Balancer
You can configure the NSX Advanced Load Balancer to use a specific IP address for logging. ThisĀ 192.168.l.l IP address is also used for accessing the NSX Advanced Load Balances’ management interface. You can configure it to be different from the IP address of each cluster.
NSX Advanced Load Balancer is a new load balancer for vSphere based on the Avi Networks technology. Previously known as Avi Vantage, it has been renamed to NSX Advanced Load Balancer. The NSX ALB provides virtual IP addresses to vCenter application, Tanzu, Supervisor Control Plane API server, and TKG (guest cluster API server).
LiveJournal accounts
If you want to monitor who’s commenting on your LiveJournal page, you can log their IP address. To enable this, go to the “Privacy” tab of My Account Settings. Then click on “Comment IP Logging.” There are two settings you can use to set this up: for everyone, or anonymous users.
LiveJournal users dislike needlessly bolding or centering text. They also don’t like the marquee command. Instead, put your text behind an lj-cut. And you can manage up to 150 items in your to-do list. Remember to include a subject, priority and details for each item.
DokuWiki
When logging information, DokuWiki uses the requesting IP address instead of the proxy address. This way, DokuWiki prevents users from spoofing their IP address. You can enable or disable logging by modifying the $conf variable. This will allow you to control which IP addresses are logged.
The configuration file of DokuWiki includes several configuration options, which affect its security. It also comes with community-contributed plugins, which add new code and functionality to the system. These plugins are not reviewed as closely as the core code of DokuWiki, so you should take extra precautions when installing or removing them.
Scalyr
The Scalyr Agent supports logging regardless of the underlying runtime, such as nginx. It also supports several metrics through the Container Runtime Interface (CRI). If you are using Docker, the Scalyr Agent Plugin automatically detects container logs and doesn’t require configuration. In addition, you can import logs from Fluentd, Logplex, and Fastly.
A key feature of Scalyr is its massive compute power, which speeds up the sorting of log data. The application supports a large number of data sources, and it supports an extensive number of APIs. As a result, you can create your own dashboards based on your specific requirements.
